Belt Buckles! by deadlanceSteamworks Belt Buckles! by deadlanceSteamworks
Instagram is awesome for fast simple pictures!

Here we have 3 belt buckles, all made by myself, on vegetable tanned leather... and yes, I have a full sized arcade (also built by me) and these are sitting on the control panel.

Check out my Etsy Shop for similar items, or message me here! I take commissions!!

Anyways, great work. I really like them :)

LOL there's a metal backing on the buckle. The leather bit is just an insert.

have you tried working with acid before?

I have not. I've been wanting to learn how to do photo etching and just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm sort of afraid it will cheapen my artwork since right now I literally do everything without any machines.

it's really simple. i made a necklace with it last year(been meaning to put pictures of it up on dev) its really cheap and easy and doesnt require any machines aside from silver metal. you write on your project with a pen, stick it in a certain acid(i dont remember witch) and the acid desoves what ever the pen hasnt touched.

Again the belt buckles for this one has great detail and would make the AC fans come to you and ask can they have one and there's a lot of them so you would make a crap tune of money

I'd like to make a crap ton of money LOL but I make them for fun mostly. I sell them for just a little more than I have to pay for items used to make them. My real goal is just to have the leatherworking pay for itself.

Well if its fun then its fun nobody judging you i mean really if i had the stuff to make wooden models i would have a bag full of them by now so its fun to make things when you want so if you love making leather stuff then go ahead

Yeah, the pleasure of making things and then seeing them off to a good home is why I do it. I do a lot of trades with other artists because I just like seeing my work go to someone who honestly appreciates it.
